Our Design Philosophy

The guiding light of our design philosophy is analysis. Our expertise combines the state of the art in architectural thinking with confidence forged in the fires of experience. Our architects’ expertise in different fundamental solutions and ability to innovatively modify them to meet the requirements of the task are part of the basic professional skillset in our team. Conventional solutions don’t belong in our routine unless they solve the problem at hand in the best possible way.

We’re always looking for ways to provide the best possible value for the client's money. At the same time, we uphold the ideals of social values and invigorating architecture. In each project, we wish to bring about the added value of joy – for the users of the premises as well as the residents in the area.

Value for money – always

A functional and beautiful building will meet the expectations of the client, the user and the surrounding society. By weighing a range of options, we will find a solution we all – the client, the construction company, and the architects – can all stand behind with pride. We have the skills – at staying within the budget as well.

Top-quality, economically viable architecture is not a contradiction in terms.

Our mode of operation

The difficult turns of a complex construction project can be successfully handled through communicative cooperation. We are readily available to client representatives and end users and always prepared to find solutions.

Materialities

We take great care with choices of materials in our design work. The spirit of a building comes together when the right materials are in the right places; this gives rise to how space is experienced physically and emotionally. In materials, we favor usability, lifecycle sustainability, locality and symbolic values. For some reason, wood construction speaks to us intensely.

Responsible Design

Architecture is supposed to improve its surroundings. We feel a responsibility for the surrounding nature, the built environment and the residents of the area. The environmental impact of a project is always considered in our design work. Sustainable and ecological architecture must, of course, favor solutions that aim to reduce the impact of climate change, but we also want to pay attention to how our designs affect their local environments.

Architecture is labor for equality. Whether living in Inari or Espoo, we all deserve good spaces and environment.
