Efficient facilities for the food industry
Lööki is a production kitchen built in the Rusko industrial area in Oulu, where food is prepared for Oulu's schools, daycare centers and the needs of the wellbeing services county of Northern Ostrobothnia, that is, for approximately 32,000 diners every day. The food prepared in Lööki is enjoyed by the patients, staff and students at the Oulu University Hospital, as well as the pupils and teachers at schools and daycare centers in the Oulu region. In addition, meals are produced for nursing homes and day activity units in the area and served as home delivered meals. Producing vast numbers of meals requires functionally efficient kitchen facilities.

A tasty presentation meets a stylish facade
Production kitchen Lööki has been designed in cooperation with an expert specializing in professional kitchens. The logistics of the production kitchen consist of, among other things, recipe planning, receiving, storage and processing of raw materials, food preparation, cooling and packaging, and sending fresh food to the consumers.
The starting point for the arrangement of the space was based on a cook & chill method. The method extends the shelf life of food, improves the safety of the food product and increases the productivity of the kitchen.
Lööki also has a separate kitchen where special dishes are prepared. The functionally state-of-the-art kitchen enables the chefs to fully concentrate on their work
